Friends of Keji

The Friends of Keji Cooperating Association is made up of a knowledgeable pool of people willing to share their expertise for the betterment of Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site.  We provide an important voice of support, with hands-on and financial assistance for complementary services and activities to visitors. 

Historic Site

“...the cultural landscape of Kejimkujik National Park, which attests to 4000 years of Mi’kmaq occupancy of this area, and which includes petroglyph sites, habitation sites, fishing sites, hunting territories, travel routes and burials, is of national historic significance...”

Species at Risk

The Adopt-A-Turtle program, which is administered through the Friends of Keji Cooperating Association, has 10 turtles available for adoption (males and females) at a cost of $33 for individuals, schools and businesses.

Dark Sky Preserve

Kejimkujik invites you to experience the astronomical depth of its Dark-Sky Preserve. Gaze at brilliant celestial bodies through a telescope, binoculars, or with the naked eye.  Important!! Contest Rules

Eligibility:
Contest open to all visitors to Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site except contest sponsors or judges, and immediate families of all these persons.

How to Enter:
Photographers must enter their photographs in the proper category.

Enter as often as you wish. Each high resolution digital image submitted must be taken in Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site or Kejimkujik Seaside, and must include a note of the photographer's name, address, telephone number and (if entering the junior category) date of birth. Description of the image, and names of persons shown, are appreciated but are not mandatory.

Only high resolution digital images will be accepted.
Entries can only be submitted by using the submit button below.

Ownership and Liability:
All photo or images must be taken and submitted by the photographer, who must agree to the terms and conditions listed when submitting the photo or image.

The Friends of Keji Co-operating Association reserves the right to use any photograph on its website and/or in displays, documents, advertising, or publications supporting Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site.

Judges Decisions:
All decisions of the judges with respect to all aspects of the contest are final.

Chances of Winning:
Chances of winning are dependent on the total number of entries received in each category, and on the quality of photos or images entered.
