Adopt-a-turtle a fundraising success!

The Adopt-A-Turtle program had a successful first year in 2008 and we are looking forward to expanding the program to include schools and businesses. Approximately 20 packages were sold, raising $660 for Blanding's turtle research and recovery efforts. The program, which is administered through the Friends of Keji Cooperating Association, has 6 turtles available for adoption (males and females) at a cost of $33 for individuals. Adoption kits include Blanding's turtle background information, the personal story of your turtle, a magnetic framed photo of your turtle, an adoption certificate, a turtle bracelet, and a $30.00 tax receipt.
