Preparing Your Child

It is crucial that children, teachers, and chaperones are physically prepared for a day at Kejimkujik.  Proper clothing is just as essential as pencils and workbooks.

Chilly weatherAutumn days at Keji can be crisp, so dressing in layers is important. Your child should wear a warm jacket and bring a hat, gloves, and a spare pair of warm socks in his or her backpack.

Wet weather

Since we will be hiking during their visit, sturdy shoes are a must. Some schools plan to come rain or shine, so be sure your child has a rain jacket should rain be forecasted.
